143 Bn CRPF hands over water harvesting system and solar systems

IMPHAL, Feb 28: The 143 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), under the aegis of M&N Sector, organised a Civic Action Programme on February 28 at Awangkhul and Taobam (Irang) villages in Noney district.
As part of the initiative, one water harvesting system each was handed over to the villagers of Awangkhul and Taobam. Additionally, a 2 KVA solar inverter system was installed and handed over to the residents of Taobam (Irang) to support local power needs, said the CRPF in a statement.
The programme was graced by Commandant of 143 Bn CRPF, Ravinder Sharma, as chief guest. The event was also attended by SP Noney Namsodia Peter; SHO Ram Mohan Prasad; ABCI Senior Engineer; Dy Comdt of 143 Bn SS Kushwana; Jasbir Kaur, Asst Comdt; Angbow Asst Comdt; Ds Negi, Asst Comdt; Guikhamlak Kamei, along with representatives of Village authorities and residents.
