The three-day event, held from February 26 to 28, has drawn women leaders, community representatives and delegates from across Poumai-inhabited regions, celebrating identity, resilience and shared responsibility.
The cultural session featured colourful folk performances, traditional dances and craft demonstrations showcasing the rich Poumai heritage. In her presidential address, P Delilah Pao expressed gratitude to the delegates, describing her tenure as one marked by challenges and growth. Urging unity and reconciliation, she appealed to women to build a community rooted in truth, respect and solidarity.
Addressing the gathering, Temjen Imna Along praised the cultural displays and lauded Poumai women as symbols of “strength, resilience and commitment.” Emphasising Naga unity, he remarked that geographical boundaries cannot divide one people, acknowledging past misconceptions and reaffirming, “We are one.”
