Dy CM Dikho holds talk with FNCC, JTC

SENAPATI, Feb 8: A day after meeting Thadou community at Motbung on Saturday, Deputy Chief Minister Losii Dikho wasted no time in reaching out to different Naga organisations to break the ongoing embargo which has shut the alternate road of Kangpokpi to Churachandpur.
The Deputy Chief Minister invited and met leaders of the Foothills Nagas Coordinating Committee (FNCC) and Joint Tribe Council (JTC) this noon at his Lamphel residence in the presence of senior BJP leader Lungphakbou Newmai.
Sources said the initiative is part of a continued effort of the newly installed popular Government to resolve ongoing issues and bring about normalcy and understanding amongst different communities.
The talk between Dikho and the leaders of the FNCC and JTC lasted for over two and half hours. The meeting deliberated on several issues, and Dikho assured them to look into the matter on priority basis.
He acknowledged their grievances and demands, and appealed to them to collectively support the initiatives of the State Government to bring peace and normalcy in Manipur. Later in the evening, Dikho held a meeting with Chief Minister Y Khem-chand and Home Commi- ssioner Ashok Kumar.
