CYCLONE, CHAMP CC extend winning run in MNCA Elite Trophy 2025-26

IMPHAL, Feb 28 : CHAMP CC, Khagempalli beat YWC, Langthabal (YWC-L) by 3 wickets for fifth win as CYCLONE, Thangmeiband crushed KCC, Kongba Bazar by 163 runs for the sixth win in the ongoing 10th MNCA W Prahlada and W Ramananda Elite Trophy 2025-26.
At Lairenjam Public Ground, CHAMP CC bowled out toss winners YWC-L for 156 runs in 37.5 overs and fought their way to the winning 160/7 in 38.4 overs.
Seram Robinson 37, Pukhrambam Prashantamani (32 off 19 balls) and Ngangbam Bishwash (22 off 33 balls) led the scoring for YWC-L today as Abdul Kasim (4/24) and Md Ahsanul Kabir (3/20) of CHAMP CC shone with the ball to share 7 wickets.
In reply, Sougrakpam Shangkar (39 off 44 balls), Leikhram Johny (24 off 39 balls) and Yumnam Karnajit (42 off 58 balls) provided early stability before Chingakham Ranjan (19 not out off 26 balls) and Thingbaijam Nicholson (2 not out off 10) sealed the victory.
Soubam Robinson (4/34) was the pick of the YWC-L bowlers claiming four wickets as P Prashantamani grabbed two (2/40).
Elsewhere at Moijing Public Ground, CYCLONE raised a mammoth total of 267 runs for all wickets down in 39.5 overs  riding on half century knocks from Kishan Laishram (79 off 62 balls; 9 fours and 2 sixes) and Md Aqeel (71 off 27 balls; 5 fours and 7 sixes) before Kishan Laishram enjoyed a fifer (5/18 in 7 overs) to set up KCC collapse at 104 within 33 overs.
Ningthoujam Thoiba 38 off 43 balls and Md Al Bashid 30 off 55 also made valuable contributions to help CYCLONE raise a commanding total in the first innings that saw Singthoi Nandeibam (3/38), Thokchom Nishikanta (2/49) and Sunil Salam (2/56) sharing 7 wickets for KCC.
In reply, Keisham Mranojit 33 off 48 balls was the highest run getter for KCC as Kishan, Suraj Nong (2/5 in 5 overs) and three others ran riot with their impeccable bowling performances.
