Rain washes off Elite Trophy matches, points shared

IMPHAL, Mar 13 : Today’s matches of the 10th MNCA W Prahlada and W Ramananda Elite Trophy were abandoned as rain played spoilsports.
At Lairenjam Public Ground, SCCC, Singjamei Thongam Leikai were 40/2 in 6.1 overs while chasing for 203 for the win against KCC, Kongba Bazar when rain forced the two teams to share a point apiece.
Wahengbam Somorjit smacked 64 off 55 balls including 5 fours and 3 sixes while Nameirakpam Arbin added 39 and Keisham Basantakumar added 34 in the first innings to help KCC raise 202/7 in 30 overs after SCCC won the toss and chose to bowl first.
Basant (2/41) picked two wickets for SCCC in the first innings as Rakeshwor Republic Hidangmayum (1/39), Heisnam Samsung (1/33), Kh Lishan (1/29) and Bikash Singh (1/31) claimed a wicket apiece.
Elsewhere at Moijing Public Ground, Model Club, Chingamakha registered 165/9 after being asked to bat first by REYS, Khwai Nagamapal Lamabam Leikai and the latter team were 19/1 in 3.2 overs when the bad weather disrupted the chase and forced the two sides to share the spoils. Langlonyamba played a crucial knock of 75-ball 28 (6 fours and 3 sixes) to lead Model Club to 165/9 in 32 overs as Sohail Akram (2/43) and Kiran Laishram (2/37) shared 4 wickets for REYS.
