I Umananda appointed chairman of Skateboarding Committee by RSFI

IMPHAL, Mar 14 : Irom Umananda Mangang of Manipur has been appointed as the chairman of Skateboarding Committee of the Roller Skating Federation of India (RSFI).
Umananda is a prominent promoter of skateboarding and extreme sports from Singjamei Chingamakha Phuramakhong and has been actively involved in promoting skateboarding and action sports in Manipur and across India for many years.
Through his dedication and leadership, he has played a significant role in inspiring young athletes and creating platforms for extreme sports to grow in the region, said the Manipur Extreme Sports and Skate Association (MESSA) in a press release.
His appointment is seen as recognition of his commitment and contribution toward the development of skateboarding in the country. Under his leadership, the sport is expected to gain further momentum and reach a wider community of youth across India, it said.
MESSA also extended its heartfelt congratulations and wished him great success in his new role.
