3 House Committees formed

IMPHAL, Mar 16: The State Assembly today constituted three committees viz; Committee on Public Accounts, Committee on Estimates and Committee on Public Undertakings.
Each of these committees have seven members.
Members of the Committee on Public Accounts are Th Lokeshwar, L Susindro, Dr Yumnam Radheshyam, Md Achab Uddin, Dr Usham Deben, Okram Surjakumar and Kh Raghumani. K Ranjit, Th Lokeshwar, Paonam Brojen, Mayanglambam Rameshwar, Irengbam Nalini, Sanasam Premchandra and Sheikh Noorul Hassan are the seven members of the Committee on Estimates.
The MLAs who have been appointed as members of the Committee on Public Undertakings are K Ranjit, Th Shyamkumar, Md Abdul Nasir, Th Radheshyam, Heikham Dingo, Leishiyo Keishing and Tongbram Robindro.
The Manipur Legislative Assembly Secretariat has issued a bulletin regarding the formation of the three committees.
On the other hand, five Bills which have been given assent by the Governor were tabled in the State Assembly today by Assembly Secretary Rohit Sapam.
The Bills which have been given assent by the Governor are; Manipur Contingency Fund Bill 2024, Dhanamanjuri University (Second Amendment) Bill 2024, Manipur Private Schools (Registration and Regulation) (Amendment) Bill 2024, National Law University, Manipur Bill 2024 and Manipur Goods and Services Tax (Seventh Amendment) Bill 2024.
