IMPHAL, Mar 16: While expressing profound concern over the ongoing tensions between communities in Litan including property destruction, provocations and tragic human losses, the Manipur Baptist Convention (MBC) has appealed to all parties to exercise utmost restraint, wisdom and a firm commitment to peace.
A press release issued by MBC General Secretary Rev K Losii Mao has urged both communities to unite in the spirit of reconciliation, refrain from actions that escalate the situation and engage in mutual dialogue to embrace the reality of shared destiny.
The MBC has also extended gratitude for the recent peaceful release of abducted individuals. “However, we remain deeply saddened by the provocations and casualties that continue to cause pain to all involved”, it added.
