Strong exception taken against FIR

Imphal, Mar 16: The Manipur Naga Youth Organisation (MNYO), Tangkhul Naga Aze Longphang (Southern Tangkhul Naga Union), and Thadou Students' Association (TSA) have reacted strongly to the FIR filed by one Lungoulen Guite in the name of "Thadou Inpi-Sadar Hills" against Indigenous People's Forum, Manipur chief advisor Ashang Kasar on March 15 at Kangpokpi police station. The FIR was lodged in connection with remarks made by the social activist on television on March 12.
MNYO condemned the "baseless FIR" and stated that Ashang Kasar's comments, which addressed escalating Naga-Kuki tensions, were taken out of context and did not promote enmity. The claim that Ashang Kasar's remarks were false and misleading is unfounded. He merely questioned the veracity of the incident and sought proper investigation and action from authorities.
