IMPHAL, Mar 1 : KCC, Kongba notched up a 6 wicket win over BSC-A, Brahmapur Laljilakpa Leikai to complete Group A league stage sweep in the XIII T-20 Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament 2026 being organised by the Manipur Veteran Cricket Association at Langthabal Public Ground.
BSC-A could mustered only 86 runs for 9 wickets after electing to bat first in the face of an economical KCC bowling attack led by Chumthao (3/14) and Robertson (2/19).
KCC then eased to the winning 90 for the loss of 4 wickets in 18.3 overs by riding on the noteworthy first wicket stand between Robertson 33 off 52 balls and Devkanta 30 off 32 balls.
For BSC-A, Tarun 17 and Thoungamba 15 led the scoring before Thomas (2/11) and Gopal (1/13) shared three wickets in a lost cause.
Later in the day, KSDO, Kyamgei beat NCA, Nambol by 29 runs to end their Group B campaign with 2 wins and keep the quarterfinal hopes alive.
Toss winners KSDO raised 117 runs for all wickets down in 18.5 overs but the total proved too big for NCA as they slumped to 88 all out in 19.2 overs.
Abid 30, Khalilur 29 and Abdul Khalique 20 led the KSDO batting attack today in the first innings that saw Ajitkumar (3/23), Govin (3/25), Dhana (2/18) and Bidyananda (2/24) sharing 10 wickets for NCA.
In reply, only Rabindra 50 off 47 was the double digit run scorer for NCA as Riyajuddin (2/11), Khalilur (2/13) and Rameez Ahmed (2/20) were able to trouble the NCA batters.
