MSL : USA beat SDC 2-1, progress into semis

IMPHAL, Mar 1 : USA, Khurai edged past SDC, Samurou by 2-1 goals today to complete the semi-final playoff with two of two wins in the 18th Manipur State League and book their place in the last four round.
SDC, who played out a 2-2 draw with NEROCA FC in the playoff opener, found the lead early in the 10th minute through Aimson Athokpam at Artificial Turf Ground.
USA, who eliminated NEROCA FC by handing a 3-0 defeat, however fought back bravely and drew level with Warepam Chandrasekhar finding the equaliser in the 25th minute before Thoudam Pravash Singh turned things around three minutes into the added time of the opening half.
USA then held onto their lead till the final whistle to join ESU, MPSC and NMFA in the semi-finals scheduled on March 3.
