Imphal, Mar 20 : The All Manipur Students’ Union (AMSU) organised an academic campaign as part of its 46th Realisation Month today at Wangkhei High School, Imphal.
The event saw significant participation from students and AMSU officials.
Speaking at the campaign, Salam Changkhonba, secretary general of AMSU, emphasized the crucial role of students in safeguarding their motherland.
He stated that relying solely on others to protect the land would lead to a state of dependency.
Changkhonba highlighted that beyond academic pursuits, students have an undeniable responsibility to understand the current situation and challenges facing their land.
He expressed concern that a decline in love for the motherland has led to the current vulnerable conditions of the region.
He urged the attendees not to forget that if they do not protect their own land, no one else will.
The campaign was organised to raise awareness about the influx of outsiders and to encourage collective action to save Manipur. The event concluded with a call for unity and renewed effort among the people to protect their indigenous land.
