Guv, CM and others convey Eid greetings

IMPHAL, Mar 20 : On the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla has extended warm greetings and best wishes to the people of Manipur, especially the Muslim brothers and sisters.
In a message, Governor Bhalla said Eid-ul-Fitr marks the culmination of the holy month of Ramadan.
Stating that the festival signifies gratitude, compassion, and the spirit of sharing with one another, the Governor expressed hope that Eid-ul-Fitr will bring peace, happiness, and prosperity to all and strengthen the bonds of unity and harmony in the State.
Conveying Eid-ul-Fitr wishes to the Muslim community, Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand said it is usually celebrated on the second day of "Shawwal", the tenth month of the Islamic calendar, after the sighting of the new moon, by breaking of fast.
Celebrated with joy and festivity, Eid ul-Fitr is observed by offering prayers at Mosques, eating delicious dishes, doing charity, and exchanging gifts with friends and relatives.
"May all our prayers be answered on this auspicious day and may our lives be filled with peace, safety, health, happiness", said the Chief Minister.
Wishing the Meitei-Pangal community on Eid-ul-Fitr, Mayang Imphal MLA Kongkham Robindro Singh urged everyone to extend a helping hand to those in need and ensure that the joy of the festival reaches every household.
Joining in, Dr Angomcha Bimol Akoijam, Lok Sabha MP (Inner Manipur) also extended Eid-ul-Fitr greetings.
"Eid-ul-Fitr is not just a day of feasting and festivities; it's a time for reflection, gratitude and connection with our loved ones", said Md Amin Shah, former MLA of Kshetrigao AC.
Wishing everyone a joyous and blessed Eid-ul-Fitr, the former MLA urged them to embrace the spirit of the festival by fostering unity and understanding among one another.
Others who have conveyed heartfelt greetings include the Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC), All Manipur Students' Union (AMSU) and Manipur Youth League (MAYOL).
