DG RVS hosts “Exhibition Polo Match” in Delhi

IMPHAL, Mar 22 :  Directorate General of Remount Veterinary Services (DG RVS) yesterday hosted an exhibition polo match at Haifa Polo Ground, 61 Cav, Delhi on the sidelines of the DG RVS Polo Cup.
The match was played between the teams representing Indian Polo Association (IPA) and All Manipur Polo Association.
 The match was played on full sized horses, unlike traditional Sagol Kangjei, in the attendance of Maj Gen Vikram Sharma, VSM (Addl QMG, IHQ of MoD Army) and Maj Gen S S Balage, VSM (Offg DG RVS), a source said.
IPA team emerged 13-5 winners, it said. An RVC dog show was also held as a part of the event, followed by prize distribution and refreshments, it added.
