Keishamthong FC romp past EMFC 6-0 in 24th Challenge Cup opener

IMPHAL, Mar 22 : Keishamthong FC romped to a commanding 6-0 win over EMFC, Lamlai as the 24th Challenge Cup Veterans Football Tournament organised by the Manipur Veteran Football Association began today at the natural turf ground of SAI NERC, Takyel.
In the Group C match of the 14 team tournament, Y Sobha (16’, 33’), N Umakanta (18’, 52’) and L Nabachandra (29’, 45’) contributed two goals apiece to set up the 6-0 win for Keishamthong FC.
Langthabal FC will play FLVKT, Kwakeithel in the Group C opening match tomorrow from 2 pm at the same venue before TRVSA, Malom play FFC, Ningombam from 3.15 in the Group B opener.
