Tbl 3rd Divn Football THSCC hammer TKWA 8-0, MFCC prevail 4-0 over FPMC

IMPHAL, Mar 22 : THSCC, Tekcham crushed TKWA, Tentha 8-0 as Meira FCC, Wangjing overwhelmed FPMC, Khongjom by 4-0 goals in yesterday’s matches of the 3rd Division Football League Tournament 2025-26 organised by the District Football Association, Thoubal.
In the second match (Group A) of the 9-team tournament, S Yuvaraj ran riot to score four goals and set up the 8-0 win over THSCC.
S Johnson opened the floodgate early in the 5th minute for THSCC before T Malemnganba doubled the advantage in the 11th minute. The scoring spree continued with S Yuvaraj scored three goals (23’, 25’, 35+1’) to make it 5-0 at halftime.
S Ronaldo further extended the lead to 6-0 after 40 minutes before TKWA’s condition went from bad to worse with N Dhananjoy conceding an own goal in the 50th minute to make it 7-0 in favour of THSCC. S Yuvaraj then rounded off the scoring in the 66th minute.
Later in the day, Meira FCC, Wangjing notched up a 4-0 win over FPMC in the Group B opener.
MFCC entered the break with a 2-0 advantage courtesy of goals coming from T Punshiba (14’) and T Rishikesh (18’) before Johnson (63’) and Michael (67’) took their turns in the second half to complete the 4-0 rout of the Khongjom side.
The tournament has however been halted due to bad ground condition rendered by the incessant rain. The remaining part of the tournament scheduled will be issued later, said DFA Thoubal in a memorandum issued in this regard.
