NEW DELHI, Mar 24: Deputy Chief Minister Dr Losii Dikho called on Union Minister for Jal Shakti, RC Patil at his private residence in New Delhi on Monday noon.
During the meeting, they discussed matters related to several projects including Climate Resilient Spring-shed Management and Enhancing e-flow of Rivers, Rejuvenation and Conservation of Moirang River and Nambol River.
Dikho and the Union Minister also discussed issues related to Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen) Grants and projects to resolve water crisis in Manipur.
The Deputy Chief Minister thanked the Union Government for its support to the newly formed State Government.
The Deputy Chief Minister also called on Managing Director of NHIDCL, Dr Krishan Kumar in his office at New Delhi.
During the meeting, he asked the Managing Director of the NHIDCL to look into the issues pertaining to the NH-02. Dikho highlighted the poor road condition of the Senapati-Mao Gate stretch of NH-02, and the need for urgent maintenance and repair. Dikho also met and interacted with the Director General and faculty of The Energy and Resource Institute (TERI) University at its HQ, in New Delhi. TERI is an independent, not-for-profit research organization advancing innovative solutions in energy, environment, climate change, and sustainable development.
He was welcomed and felicitated by Dr Vibha Dhawan, Director General, TERI.
The Deputy Chief Minister interacted with experts from the Land Resources Division and the Social Transformation & CSR Division to understand TERI’s ongoing initiatives.
