Bomb lobbed at Cong leader's residence

IMPHAL, Mar 25: A bomb exploded at the residential gate of Congress leader Toijam Lokendro Singh at Khurai Kongpal Ningthou-bung Leikai today.
A candidate who contested in the last State Assembly elections, Toijam Lokendro is the chairman of the Labour Dept of MPCC.
The bomb exploded at the residential gate at around 12.05 am (midnight) today.
The explosive was reportedly lobbed towards the gate by an unidentified bike borne assailant. While no one was hurt in the explosion, it caused some damage to the gate and the wall.
Condemning the incident, locals of Khurai staged a it-in protest today. The pro- testers denounced the incident and urged the person(s) or groups to refrain from repeating such incidents in the future.
