MU Powerlifting team announced

IMPHAL, Mar 25 : The Department of Sports, Manipur University has announced the names of the 6 athletes including one man, who will be representing the university at the All India Inter University Power Lifting (M/W) Tournament to be hosted by the Hindustan University, Chennai from May 21 to 26.
The athletes who were selected by the university for the All India event based on their performances include Kayenpaibam Velena of Imphal College (47 kg), Ningthoujam Gunileima of Lilong Haoreibi College (52 kg), Maibam Gulabi of Kamakhya Pemton College (57 kg), Brahmacharimayum Nimi of Kamakhya Pemton College (76 kg) and Leimapokpam Rebita of S Kula Women’s College (+84 kg) and Longjam Prashant of Regional College (105 kg).
The athletes were also instructed to report to the Assistant Director of sports, MU on March 30 at 11.30 at the latter’s office for further directives.
