Skeletal remains found at Singda Dam

IMPHAL, Mar 27: Skeletal remains of an unknown person have been recovered from a gorge located inside Singda Dam complex under Kangchup police station this morning.
The skeletal remains are likely to be deposited at RIMS morgue late in the evening after inquest and its surrounding area by a State Forensic Science team.
The skeletal remains were found by some villagers living near Singda Dam when they went to the dam complex for fishing this morning, and they promptly informed Kangchup police station, sources said.
Upon getting information about the skeletal remains, a team from Kangchup police station rushed to the spot.
Soon after, a team of State Forensic Science experts too arrived and they carried out an inquest of the skeletal remains and its surrounding area.
After the inquest, the skeletal remains will be brought to RIMS morgue for necessary identification procedure, said the sources.
