Centre agrees to 6 more KVKs in Manipur

On the request of Deputy Chief Minister Nemcha Kipgen, Union Minister for Agriculture and Rural Development Shivraj Singh Chouhan has instructed the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) to open six new Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) in the State.
The Deputy Chief Minister called on the Union Minister at his residence today.
She thanked him for extending the time period of PMGSY-I and apprised him of the works being carried out in the State in the fields of agriculture and rural development.
Shivraj Singh Chouhan also urged the Deputy Chief Minister to send a proposal for establishing a Tissue Culture Laboratory in Manipur.
