Sit-in condemns bomb attack

IMPHAL, Mar 28 : A sit-in protest was staged today at Kongpal Thongkhong condemning the bomb attack at the residence of Toijam Lokendro, chairman of MPCC’s Labour Department, in Khurai Kongpal Ningthoubung Leikai on the night of March 24 by unknown miscreants.
Meira Paibis from various localities, including Kongpal Chingangbam Leikai, Sajor Leikai and Ningthoubung Leikai, took part in the demonstration.
At the sit-in, the protestors expressed strong disapproval of the bomb incident and the attempts to tarnish Lokendro’s reputation with unsubstantiated charges.
The protestors stated that the bomb attack has created more tension among the public who are already reeling due to the ongoing conflict.
They also appealed to all concerned to not cause fear among the people and solve any issue through negotiation.
