Ronaldo, Salomi emerge on top in Thang-Ta Changdamnaba-2026

IMPHAL, Mar 29 : Irom Ronaldo Meitei and Salomi Mutum emerged the men and women’s winners in the Thang-Ta Changdamnaba-2026 that was organised by NEINASHANG in collaboration with Sports Authority of India Special Training Centre, Imphal at Sagolband Tera Loukrakpam Leikai, Imphal West.
Irom Ronaldo amassed the highest 193 marks to seal the men’s pole position as Khangembam Luckychand and Rex Koijam scored 190 and 187 mark respectively to settle for the second and the third places.
Irom Ronaldo scored 34 marks in Sajel Kanglon, 33 marks in Thang Ani Paibagi Langthang Thanghai, 34 marks in Ta Khousaba, 29 marks in Thang Chunggoi Marolgi Lanthang Thanghai, 32 marks in Thanglon Thangyan Thangbi Yanbagi Paring and 31 marks in Pheejet/ Khurumlon Thougalon to top the men’s competition.
In the women’s competition, Salomi Mutum scored 32 marks in Sajel Kanglon, 31 marks in Thang Ani Paibagi Langthang Thanghai, 35  marks in Ta Khousaba, 32 marks in Thang Chunggoi Marolgi Lanthang Thanghai, 29 marks in Thanglon Thangyan Thangbi Yanbagi Paring and 34 marks in Pheejet/ Khurumlon Thougalon to secure the top spot.
Mutum Naotombi and Keithellakpam Taritnu Chanu secured 181 and 178 marks respectively to earn the second and third spots in the women’s competition.
The top three athletes in both the categories were feted with cash prizes of Rs 20,000; Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively during the valedictory function of the competition held in the presence of Sapam Kunjakeswor, MLA Patsoi AC; Chirom Babul, president NEINASHANG; Dr Mayengbam Veto, Director Youth Affairs and Sports as presidium members.
