3rd Hijam Mema Memorial T20 Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament begins

IMPHAL, Mar 29 : The 3rd edition of Khomdram (O) Hijam Mema Devi Memorial T20 Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament 2026 kicked off today at Langthabal Public Ground.
The opening match of the tournament saw YUCC, Kwakeithel registering a 24-run victory over UCC, Uripok. YUCC raised a modest total of 130 runs for 7 wickets after electing to bat first and held UCC to 106/9 to start their league campaign on a winning note.
Risk 25 off 17 balls, Chingtam 20 off 29 balls, Tomba 17 not out off 22 balls and Doren 16 off 17 balls led the YUCC scoring today before Tomba (2/23) and Manikumar (2/12) led the bowling attack to restrict UCC to 106 in reply.
Prasenjit enjoyed a four wicket haul (4/18) for UCC in the first innings while Trimal picked two (2/22) but their efforts went in vain as Trimal 27 off 25 and David 17 off 18 balls were the only double digit run getters in the chase.
Chingtam who added 20 runs and picked one wicket was adjudged man of the match.
