IMPHAL, Mar 30 : Meira FCC, Wangjing prevailed 4-1 over UCFA, Laiphrakpam as Pandam FC edged past FPMC, Khongjom 2-1 in today’s Group B matches to extend their winning streaks in the ongoing 3rd Division Football League organised by District Football Association, Thoubal.
Meira FCC, having posted two back to back wins, rode on Rishikesh’s hattrick (12’, 13’, 20’) and Joysana’s solitary strike (68’) to post a 4-1 win over UCFA today. The consolation goal for UCFC was scored by Kh Abungo in the 48th minute.
Later in the day, Competition (37’) and Alex (69’) scored a goal apiece to hand Pandam FC a 2-1 win over FPMC. It was the second straight win for the team having beaten UCFA in the similar fashion in the previous match.
