PHAM greets Bichu and Nilakanta

IMPHAL, Mar 30 : The Posterior Hockey Academy Manipur (PHAM) has expressed happiness and pride over Kharibam Bichu Devi and Shanglakpam Nilakanta Sharma on receiving major honours at the 8th Hockey India Annual Awards 2025.
Bichu, who once trained at PHAM, was conferred the Baljit Singh Award for Goalkeeper of the Year 2025 that carries a cash component of Rs 5 lakh while another product of the academy and Olympic bronze medallist, Nilakanta was honoured with a cash reward of Rs 1.5 lakh for completing 150 international caps, said PHAM in a press release.
PHAM also took pride in its strong coaching and logistic set up that has been providing grassroots training and consistently grooming many eminent hockey athletes including two Arjuna Awardees, 4 Olympians and more than 10 international players.
While congratulating both the athletes, PHAM also wished continued success to them.
