The story of Prabhu Ram has been scripted in various languages and by various authors in their own ways. Of these epics, “Ramayana” in Sanskrit by Maharshi Valmiki and “Ram Charit Manas” in Hindi by Goswami Tulsidas are most popular among devotees.
Prabhu Shri Ram has special significance in other sects originating from Sanatan Dharma, particularly in Sikhism.
In the Holy scripture of Sikhs Shri Guru Granth Sahibji, the name of Prabhu “Ram” have been chanted 2533 times.
Ram has been included as one among 24 incarnations of Vishnu in the “Chaubis Avtar”, a composition in the “Dasham Granth” traditionally and historically attributed to Guru Govind Singhji Maharaj.
