Imphal East emerge champions of 1st State Level Curling C’ship

Thoubal, Mar 30 : Imphal East were crowned as the champions of the 1st Sub-Junior, Junior and Senior State Level Floor Curling Coaching Camp cum Championship 2025-26 that concluded today in Yairipok Tulihal.
Imphal East secured 7 gold, 7 silver and 10 bronze medals to amass 71 points and earned the top honour as Thoubal (2 gold, 5 silver and 6 bronze- 37 points) and Imphal West (4 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze- 34 points) settled for the first and second runners up titles.
The closing function and prize distribution programme of the championship hosted by Amateur Curling Association of Sanaleibak, Manipur was attended by chairman cum managing director of Manipur Creative School (MCS) Dewlahland and general secretary of United Meitei Pangal Committee Manipur, Raees Ahamed Tampak as chief guest; vice president of Amateur Curling Association of Sanaleibak, Manipur and chairman of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee, Minority Department, Md Zakir Hussain as functional president; social worker- Kongbam Jackson; Panel of Manipur State Legal Services Authority and High Court Legal Services Committee, Advocate Mohammad Ajmal Hussain; Manipur University, Department of PESS’s Asst Professor Dr Abdul Rahaman and chairman and managing director of Sahil Foundation, Tulihal Nongsaibam Sanjit as guests of honour.
