IMPHAL, Apr 9 : The G-5 comprising KCP, KYKL, PREPAK, PREPAK (Pro) and the Koireng-led UNLF has asserted that Indian armed forces never help the State force in fighting any battle against Kuki narco-terrorists.
A joint statement issued by the five insurgent outfits  said that Indian armed forces remained silent during the Dolaithabi and Nganukol attacks, Haotak killing and the recent Tronglaobi killings.
The inaction and silence of the Indian armed forces to the series of attacks and killings only point out how tilted the Government of India is in favour of the Kukis, it said.
In the meantime, some police personnel have been detaining and arresting civilians who volunteered to defend the Nation from Kuki narco-terrorists. Their excessive action has besmirched the reputation of those fellow police personnel who genuinely love Manipur, it said.
When the State police could not fight the Kuki narco-terrorists, a number of retired revolutionaries and youths came out, heeding to the call of mothers and Meira Paibis to come out and protect Manipur.
The retired revolutionaries and the youth successfully faced the terrorist community.
It also recalled how retired revolutionaries trained civilians/youth on handling firearms at different localities.
Driven by a conviction to protect the motherland, parents sent their children for training on handling firearms and basic tactics of warfare, the G-5 said.
The people stood together and fought the Kuki narco-terrorists successfully in the valley, it said.
However, some police officers who have never faced the heat of a real battle have started arresting those volunteers who came out to defend Manipur from the May 3, 2023 aggression on the allegation that the volunteers are insurgents and involved in extortion, it said.
When the volunteers are arrested by police, their families face huge financial burdens to the tune of lakhs, it added.
The G-5 asserted that the youth responded to the call of mothers and elders, and volunteered to fight for the motherland as the Government of India allegedly took the side of Kuki terrorists openly.
If those volunteers are said to be insurgents, there is a strong possibility that the mothers/Meira Paibis who called them out may be charged with abetting insurgency, it said.
It asserted that it will be prudent for the public to give right advice to some police officers.
Kuki narco-terrorists do not want peace
The G-5 asserted that the Kuki narco-terrorists do not want peace and they don’t have any intention to cease their aggression, and this was testified by the recent killing of two sleeping kids at Tronglaobi.
The Kuki narco-terrorists have been continuously amassing war materials and  equipment for a big war.
The ongoing aggression is not related exclusively to the revolutionary movement but it is aimed at dismembering Manipur, it said.
The G-5 stated that fighting such a war requires huge financial resources as well as a good number of youth committed to protect the motherland.
“Whereas the enemies have been earning huge incomes by engaging in drug businesses, we are fighting the war with whatever contributions made by our people”, it said.
Some police personnel posted at Moreh, other peripheral areas and SDPO Moreh, Ch Anand fought bravely against the narco-terrorists, the G-5 said, adding that they respect those police personnel at the highest level.
Many police personnel have not forgotten who stood for them and provided moral support when narco-terrorists surrounded and attacked police posts in collusion with Central armed forces, and these police personnel wish to strengthen the youth, it said.
The G-5 then called upon all police personnel to be understanding like those fellow police personnel.
Pointing out that the majority of the families are economically very weak, it appealed to the police not to put any more financial burden on these families by arresting village volunteers.
The-G-5 has also appealed to the lawyer fraternity to help village volunteers/civilians fight false allegations charged against them by police at minimum fees.
The Government’s unwillingness to present Gallantry Award to those police personnel who fought bravely against the Kuki narco-terrorists is an unmistakable indication that the May 3, 2023 violence was plotted by the Government of India, it alleged.
