NIA team in town, studies bombed house

IMPHAL, Apr 9 : The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has initiated an investigation into the barbaric and inhumane attack at Tronglaobi, which resulted in the deaths of two siblings, an infant and a five-year-old boy, who were asleep in the early hours of April 7.
Accompanied by Bishnupur SP, a five-member team of the NIA arrived at the house at Tronglaobi, Bishnupur around 2.30 pm today, and conducted a spot verification at the room of the house which was struck by the projectile.
The NIA team also interacted with the grieving family about the incident.
It is reported that the NIA will investigate the type of projectile used in the deadly attack.
The NIA team also inspected the site where another RPG was found.
Later, the Central agency conducted an inspection at the CRPF post near Gelmol and Okshongbung.
