IDPs to call off agitation

IMPHAL, Apr 9 : After reaching an agreement with the State Government, Internally Displaced Persons from Moreh and Churachandpur have decided to end their protest demonstration staged in connection with the brutal murder of a minor displaced girl from Akampat Relief Camp.
As per a press release issued by the Family Committee, Akampat Relief Camp, the Manipur Government has assured to award appropriate punishment under the law to murder accused Laishram Lanngamba.
The minor girl's last rites will be solemnized on April 10.
The Committee has urged the public to take part in the ceremony.
