IMPHAL, Apr 9: The public convention scheduled for April 12 in connection with the planned census operations has been postponed indefinitely in view of the unfolding situation in the State.
This was announced by Campaign for Just and Fair Delimitation (CJFD) convenor Jeetendra Ningomba  today.
Speaking to media persons at Wangkhei Thangjam Leikai today, Jeetendra Ningomba vehemently condemned the killing of two sleeping kids in a bomb attack carried out by Kuki terrorists at Tronglaobi, Bishnupur district.
He said that decisive actions are needed against the Kuki terrorists who have been committing all kinds of inhuman acts.
Jeetendra Ningomba also expressed deep anguish and shock over the brute force unleashed by CRPF personnel including firing live bullets which resulted in many deaths and casualties when a large group of civilians protested in front of their camp against the brutal murder of the two sleeping kids.
He also questioned the authenticity of the Government’s claim that three individuals have been arrested in connection with the Tronglaobi terror attack.
Saying that the CJFD fully supports the mass agitation being spearheaded by the COCOMI, he appealed to all the people to join the mass agitation under one voice until justice is delivered.
