IMPHAL, Apr 11: The All Manipur Christian Organi-sation (AMCO) is organising "Manipur Peace and Healing Festival 2026" at Khuman Lampak Sports Complex Main Stadium Hall from April 21 to 24.
The objective of organising the festival is to help heal and bring about normalcy in Manipur, said AMCO president Rev L Simon Raomei in a press meet at Manipur Press Club, Imphal today.
The violent conflict that erupted in May 2023 has displaced thousands of people. There is no normalcy yet in the State. The festival aims to bring together people and build trust for normalcy to return to Manipur, Reverend Simon said.
There will be no entry fee. People of all communities may take part in the festival and join prayers for normalcy and lasting peace in Manipur, Rev Simon added.
He appealed to all sections of the society and all civil bodies not to call bandh during the festival from April 21 to 24.
