Village authority issues directive

IMPHAL, Apr 12 : The Roudei (TM Kasom) Village Authority has informed that no security forces, armed personnel or any related agency is permitted to enter, operate or remain within the jurisdiction of the village without prior authorisation.
The village authority, in a press release, said that it holds absolute authority over the administration as well as the maintenance of law, order and security within the village.
"This has been our tradition since time immemorial and we continue to uphold our customary laws and practices. No external force shall interfere in matters pertaining to the governance and security of the village", it said.
Saying that any security force or agency seeking entry into the village must obtain prior official permission from them, the village authority added that requests made via phone calls, messages or any informal means will not be entertained.
Any security personnel or agency found loitering or conducting any form of military operation within the village jurisdiction without prior approval from the village authority shall be doing so at their own risk, it added.
