One sent to judicial custody

IMPHAL, Apr 13: Special Judge POCSO Imphal West has remanded a 28-year-old man to judicial custody till April 27 for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor on the pretext of marrying her and confining her in an undisclosed location.
The accused, Aziz Shah, was arrested following a complaint filed with the police about a missing minor.
The complaint filed on April 6 alleged that the minor went out from her residence to buy some textbooks but did not return. The minor was then traced and rescued from the house of the accused.
She was allegedly picked up by the accused from the Sagolband Meino Leirak Machin area on April 6 afternoon. He kept her confined in an undisclosed area, where he allegedly sexually assaulted her on the pretext of marrying her.
