Policies that encourage research and technological development therefore benefit society in profound and lasting ways.
For this reason, political leadership must be closely aligned with the advancement of knowledge. Leaders who value scientific thinking recognise the importance of strengthening universities, supporting research institutions, and creating opportunities for young minds to explore new ideas.
