NIELIT Imphal hosts seminar

Imphal, Apr 1 : The National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), Imphal, in collaboration with TEQNET Foundation, Manipur, successfully organised a seminar titled “Entrepreneurship and Its Workflow Step-1” yesterday.
The event aimed to foster a culture of innovation and a startup ecosystem within Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in line with the Ministry of Education’s (MoE) Innovation Cell (MIC) initiative.                
The seminar, held in a hybrid mode at NIELIT campus in Akampat, saw enthusiastic participation from approximately 100 students and aspiring entrepreneurs.
Dr Yumnam Jayanta Singh, Executive Director of NIELIT Imphal, delivered the opening address, emphasizing the importance of entrepreneurship-driven initiatives in empowering the youth and promoting innovation.
Dr Ch Ibohal Meitei, Professor of Management & Director, Research and Development Cell, Manipur University, spoke on business planning and strategic management, urging the state's youth to explore business ideas and seek funding.
McDon Ningthoujam, Program Associate, Manipur Technology Innovation Hub, provided insights into office space and funding options.
Roshni Kumar Yambem, MD, Globizs Web Solutions Pvt Ltd, discussed managing operations and team building, highlighting the critical role of management in running a business.
Ailan Maibam, MD, Awpara Technologies Pvt Ltd, presented on the role of logistics in business, using case studies from Manipur.
Participants also had the opportunity to visit the India AI Lab and Drone Electronics Laboratories at NIELIT Imphal, where they were introduced to advanced facilities and briefed on skill development programs in AI and Drone Technology.
