IMPHAL, Apr 2 : On the solemn occasion of Good Friday, Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla, Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand and Deputy Chief Minister Nemcha Kipgen have extended their heartfelt greetings to all, especially the Christian brethren of Manipur.
In his message, Governor Bhalla said the sacred day of Good Friday, which marks the crucifixion of Lord Jesus Christ, invites everyone to reflect deeply on the enduring values of unconditional love, compassion, forgiveness, and selflessness embodied in His life and teachings.
He urged people to renew their commitment to these noble ideals and strive to build a society rooted in peace, understanding, and mutual respect.
Conveying his greetings, Chief Minister Y Khem-chand pointed out that Ma- nipur has always been known for its rich cultural diversity and communal harmony.
Occasions such as Good Friday strengthens the spirit of unity, mutual respect and understanding among people of different faiths and communities in the State.  
He expressed hope that Good Friday will inspire everyone to walk the path of righteousness, compassion and harmony, and work together for a peaceful and progressive Manipur.
In her message, the Deputy Chief Minister said Good Friday serves as a reminder to people of the profound sacrifice of Jesus Christ, who laid down His life for the redemption of humanity.
"May this Good Friday encourage us to reflect upon the values of humility, kindness and selflessness, and guide us to lead a life rooted in truth, peace, and righteousness", she added.
