Huge cache of arms recovered at CCpur, Bpr

IMPHAL, Apr 3 : Security forces recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition from Churachandpur and  Bishnupur districts yesterday.
A bulletin issued by police  late last night said that two 12 bore rifles, two front loaded single barrel rifles, one modified AK-47, two 9 mm pistols with magazines, three magazines of different arms, four pumpis, 81 live rounds of different calibres and some protective gear and gadget from the general area of Dampi ridge under Churachandpur police station.
In another operation, security forces seized one .32 pistol with magazine, three live rounds of .32 ammunition, one single barrel gun, one HE hand grenade, five 12 bore cartridges and one blank round from Upokpi Khunou Mamang Leikai and adjoining Loktak areas under Bishnupur police station. The bulletin also mentioned that three bunkers were destroyed at Satang Hill under Sagolmang police station yesterday.
Security forces also recovered three packets of WY tablets weighing approximately 3.5 Kg  from Homeguard Veng area of Moreh under Moreh police station.
