L Victor gets rousing welcome

KAKCHING, Apr 2: Victor Loitongbam, who recently won a gold in the 10th World Junior Wushu Championship 2026 in Tianjin, China, was given a warm welcome upon his arrival today.
Victor won the gold in the Sanda event.
He is the son of L Suraj and Surmala of Waikhong Bazar, Kakching district.
After arriving to a warm welcome at the Imphal airport, Victor was given a rousing welcome by people and representatives of many organisations at Kakching Keithel.
The public reception, and a brief victory procession was organised at Kakching Keithel by the Kakching District Wushu Association (KDWUA) and Joint Non-Government Voluntary Organisation (JNGVO).
KDWUA president and caretaker Chairperson of Kakching Municipal Council, Naorem Shanjitkumar and JNGVO advisor Pukhrambam Somarendra among others were among those who received the gold medallist and wished him success in all his future endeavours.
