Inner Realisation

I cannot search for malice
when waves interrupt
my sympathetic compassion.
I move on hands and knees
along the sea-shore line,
seeking the hidden meaning
in salt and shifting tide.
An invisible hand
casts me outward,
as if centrifugal law
has become a voice.

It drains my inner sap
Until the final drop of strength,
leaving silence,
of thought and breath,
In the hollow body of mine.

And although I do stand accused
against the will of nature,
I refuse the ending written in fear.
I choose instead,
the persistence of beings,
for a life that continues
beyond collapse and doubt,
not foolishly!
