3rd MNCA U15 Girls One Day Trophy AKSDO defeat TCMDC by 106 runs for third straight victory

IMPHAL, Apr 6 : AKSDO, Khangabok cruised to their third straight Group A win in the 3rd MNCA U15 Girls One Day Trophy by handing TCMDC, Thongju Part II Pechu Lampak a 106-run defeat at Kongba Dhobi Lampak.
AKSDO won the toss and opted to bat first before posting a modest total of 175 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 30 overs and bundled out TCMDC for 69 runs within 12.4 overs to inch towards the semi-finals.
Henthoisana 46 off 63 balls (6 fours), Laishram Kalpana 34 off 41 balls (4 fours) and Laishram Linthoi Chanu 30 not out off 52 balls (2 fours) led the scoring for AKSDO today  before Lucyrani Khundrakpam picked four wickets (4/15 in 3 overs) and Henthoisana Takhellambam (2/5) and Laishram Yaiphabi Chanu (2/1) picked two wickets apiece to dismiss TCMDC for 69 runs.
Laishram Geetanjali (1/24) picked one wicket for TCMDC in the first innings before Laishram Lanchenbi on 18 emerged as the only double digit scorer in the chase.
Henthoisana who shone with both the bat and the ball was adjudged player of the match.
Elsewhere at THAU ground, SHADOW, Thangmeiband notched up an 8-wicket win over STYCC, Sagolband Tera Keithel to extend their Group B winning run to three games.
SHADOW bundled out toss winners STYCC for 38 runs within 11.4 overs riding on Konthoujam Shinthoihenbi (3/3 in 5 overs), Sagatpam Henthoibi (2/15 in 4 overs) and Shilheibi Seram (2/8 in 2 overs) before easing to the target in 5.3 overs.
Tokpam Manjali on 8 was the highest run getter for STYCC today before 24 extras and contributions from Salina Seram 9, Sapam Kerina 4 not out and Sagatpam Henthoibi 2 sealed the victory for SHADOW.
Tokpam Manjali also picked two wickets (2/22) for STYCC in a lost cause.
K Shinthoihenbi was named player of the match.
