LPG supply in Manipur 'steady'

IMPHAL, Apr 6 : The supply of domestic LPG across Manipur continues to be stable and sufficient, with uninterrupted distribution being maintained despite global geopolitical factors influencing energy markets, said a PIB statement today.
Indian Oil Corporation remains committed to prioritising household LPG requirements and is closely overseeing the distribution network to ensure smooth and reliable access for consumers throughout the State, it said.
At present, approximately 12,000 LPG cylinders are being supplied daily across Manipur, ensuring consistent and timely delivery to households. The State is increasingly adopting digital platforms, with a growing number of refill bookings being made online. This transition is helping streamline the delivery process and enhance overall consumer convenience.
Deliveries are being executed using the Delivery Authentication Code (DAC OTP) system to ensure accurate and secure distribution to intended beneficiaries.
To prevent black marketing, hoarding, and other irregular practices, IndianOil is working in close coordination with the Government of Manipur to enforce strict monitoring measures. Surprise inspections are being regularly conducted at LPG distributorships in collaboration with State authorities, reinforcing transparency and safeguarding consumer interests.
LPG supply in Manipur remains adequate, and there is no cause for concern regarding shortages. Customers are encouraged to continue using digital booking methods, avoid panic buying or unnecessary stockpiling, and rely only on official communication channels for accurate information, added the PIB.
