CM chairs all party meet

IMPHAL, Apr 7: Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh chaired an all-party meeting this evening at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, to review the prevailing situation in the State.
The meeting discussed at length about the Tronglaobi incident and strongly condemned the cowardly act.
Representatives of the political parties expressed deep concern over the recent law and order situation and emphasized the need to maintain peace, unity, and communal harmony.
The leaders shared their views and extended full cooperation toward restoring normalcy, according to a press release issued by the CM Secretariat.
The meeting decided that those responsible for the incident should be identified at the earliest, arrested, and strict action taken as per the law.
The meeting unanimously resolved to appeal to the public to remain calm and not to engage in any form of agitation or violence such as damaging public properties and to cooperate with the authorities in maintaining law and order.
Leaders from various political parties attended the meeting, including representatives from BJP, INC, NPP, NPF, CPI, NPP (TL), RPI (Athawale) and others.
Senior leaders such as former Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh and former Deputy Chief Y Joykumar Singh were also present during the meeting.
