Dikho condemns

IMPHAL, Apr 8 : Deputy Chief Minister Losii Dikho has expressed profound sorrow over the tragic killing of two children at Tronglaobi and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured mother.
"The tragic loss of two precious innocent lives is beyond unimaginable and condemned in the highest terms. Such a barbaric act committed against our children is against humanity and unacceptable to all", said the Deputy Chief Minister in a statement.
Saying that he was extremely disturbed by the incident which coincided with the auspicious Hun Thadou Festival, the Deputy Chief Minister declared that any attempt to create misunderstanding and escalate violence by targeting innocent lives cannot be tolerated at any cost.
Reiterating Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand's declaration, he added that the State Government is committed to nabbing and punishing the perpetrators as per the law of the land at the earliest.
He also appealed to all the rightful thinking leaders and the public to come forward and extend support to the Government to de-escalate any form of confrontation and violence in order to bring normalcy in Manipur.
The Deputy CM further reaffirmed the Government's unconditional efforts to bring peace between different communities in Manipur. "Let us try to bridge the gap of misunderstanding and comprehend one another's vision", he said.
