Sane appeal issued

IMPHAL, Apr 8 : In view of the prevailing tense situation in Manipur, the Relief Committee, JNIMS has urged protesters to provide safe and free passage to hospital/medical staff and the media fraternity.
Hospital and medical staff are facing significant challenges in the transportation and treatment of wounded individuals/protesters due to road bloc- kades in some areas, pointed out the Committee in a press release.
On top of causing inconveniences to the medical staff, the situation spells trouble for the wounded persons whose treatment is delayed, it added.
On a separate note, the Committee has sought permission to open the hotels set up within the hospital complex. This would address the needs of patient parties who might wish to satiate their hunger pangs late into the night, it added.
