IMPHAL, May 17: The AMUCO, COHR, PLM-PAM, AMAWOVA and MSF have appealed to all concerned to release all the people who are being kept as hostage at the earliest on humanitarian ground.
A joint statement issued by the five organisations said that all the communities of Manipur do not support but strongly condemn all forms of violence and conflicts perpetrated in Manipur.
The organisations appealed to all the people to cherish and promote the idea of oneness in the face of the Government of India’s many policies aimed at creating divisions and ultimately disintegrating Manipur.
“We are all born in Manipur and we must stand together to save Manipur”, they said.
The organisations also called upon all communities to give up communal outlooks, policies and actions.
No group/community should undertake any activity or mass movement which are detrimental to the integrity of Manipur, they added.
