DIMAPUR, May 17: The NSCN-IM has accused Kuki Students' Organisation (KSO) Delhi of attempting to provoke communal mistrust and deepen tension among communities in Manipur. It said the student body selectively labeling communities, organisations, and individuals without credible judicial findings or lawful evidence is irresponsible and unacceptable.
"Public platforms and student organisations must act responsibly and uphold peace, moral values, and factual integrity instead of spreading narratives that may incite hostility and social unrest," said the NSCN-IM.
Baseless allegations against communities and groups without conclusive judicial determination amount to defamation and incitement. "Attempts to threaten political consequences or create fear through provocative language are dangerous and detrimental to any democratic harmony," it further added.
The NSCN-IM then issued a "stern warning" that continuation of circulation of false, defamatory, communal, and inflammatory statements against any community or organisation must cease immediately. Any repetition of such irresponsible conduct may compel appropriate legal, Constitutional, and administrative actions under applicable National "azha", it added.
It urged the "Indian authorities", civil society organisations, student bodies, and the media to avoid one-sided narratives and instead work collectively toward bringing justice, peace, and stability in the region.
