Meira paibis stage sit-in

IMPHAL, May 20 : Condemning the planting of a bomb at a residence in Keishamthong Laisom Leirak, Meira Paibis of Keishamthong Laishom Leirak and Moirangningthou Leirak staged a sit-in protest on Wednesday.
The protest was held in response to an incident on Tuesday where unidentified miscreants placed a bomb at the gate of Hidangmayum Meghachandra Sharma’s house.
Denouncing the act, the protesters held placards reading “We don’t want bombs at homes”, “Stop creating fear among the public”, “Let civilians live in peace”, and “We want peace”.
They demanded an end to such acts that threaten the safety of ordinary people.
