ANSAM convenes emergency meeting on May 24

Senapati, May 22: The All Naga Students' Association Manipur (ANSAM) has convened an Emergency Presidential Council Meeting on May 24 at Shelley Chara Memorial Hall, ANSAM Secretariat, Tahamzam (Senapati), in view of what it termed as the "grave and unfolding circumstances" confronting the Nagas.
According to a notice issued by ANSAM , the meeting will be attended by members of the presidential council along with senior leaders of the association to deliberate on issues concerning the "existential threat in Naga homeland."
ANSAM has directed all constituent and subordinate units under its jurisdiction to ensure their presence at the meeting "without fail and without exception."
Describing the situation as a critical juncture in the history of Nagas, the association stated that "indifference and complacency have no place" at this moment and called upon all 19 units of the association to demonstrate absolute commitment, resolute participation and a strong sense of responsibility towards the Naga causes.
